The cartoon features McNamara in colonial African big-game-hunter garb with his ‘missile strength’ gun, holding his African hunter hat ‘diplomatic warfare’ on a stick above the fort palisade where it has been impaled with arrows of Cuba, Vietnam, and Berlin.
