Title: Who, Me?
Medium: Ink on duo shade paper, with color overlays
Size: 11 3/4 in. x 12 in.
Description/Context: Accompanying the guest editorial ‘See What’s Best Before We Move’ by Ina Freeman, President of the League of Women Voters of the Pensacola Bay Area. Her editorial urges citizen involvement in planning for Pensacola and Escambia County, especially during the May 1977 conference. The cartoon features the arm and hand of ‘Citizen Involvement’ pointing to a ‘Grassroots’ citizen who holds a newspaper headline ‘Escambia Faces ’77 Task’ and asks ‘Who, Me?’ The cartoon was later colorized with overlays for publication in the Goals booklet and appears here in color.
