Title: A Little Flavoring
Medium: Ink and graphite on paper (corner of drawing torn off)
Size: 14 3/8 in. x 18 ½ in.
Description/Context: An ongoing issue in the Canal Zone about flying either the United States or Panama flags or both, ignited into a deadly protest in early January. Some alleged that pro-Fidel Castro communists were behind this. The stand alone editorial cartoon features Cuban President Fidel Castro having dinner, cutting his ‘Castroism’ steak, noting that it needs ‘a little flavoring’ eyeing the ‘Canal Zone Sauce’ bottle on the table.
