Did you change your spring break plans because of the virus? From what to what?
Spring Ball was cancelled so I went home to NJ
How did you feel when you were informed the remainder of the semester would be held online?
I was tied with good and bad emotions. I got to go home and see my dad but missed out on Spring football which I worked 7 months to get my torn ACL fully recovered to come back from.
Where will you be living while courses are held online? Is this a change from usual?
Margate, New Jersey. I haven’t lived in New Jersey since my senior year of high school
What has been your experience with moving classes online? What’s good? What’s not so good?
Everything went smoothly as the teachers made the transition easy.
How has the virus (and the precautions taken to prevent it spreading) impacted your daily life?
I haven’t been able to leave the house without a mask – golf courses, gyms, restaurants, and all other non-essential businesses were closed. Everyone is self-quarantined so I haven’t seen anyone really except my father.
How worried are you about getting the virus?
Not worried
Do you know anyone who has gotten COVID-19?
No.
Are you staying in? What are you doing to pass the time?
I am staying in; working out, getting all my school work done, studying the playbook, watching documentaries, and playing video games
Are you going out? Where do you go and what is it like?
The only place I have been going to is local supermarkets, the boardwalk, and my dad’s work office. Everyone has to wear masks in the supermarkets and there are less people out than normal.
What is giving you hope and/or strength right now?
Just faith that it will all pass over
Is there anything else you’d like to tell us about what you’re feeling or experiencing right now?
I am feeling in great health and am grateful I’ve been able to maintain good immunity.
