Did you change your spring break plans because of the virus? From what to what?

From going to the beach and partying at El Paso Mexican Restaurant with Friends to Relaxing at Home.

How did you feel when you were informed the remainder of the semester would be held online?

I felt disappointed.

Where will you be living while courses are held online? Is this a change from usual?

I will be living with my parents, this is not a change from usual, as I had planned to live with my parents before coronavirus as well to save money.

What has been your experience with moving classes online? What’s good? What’s not so good?

I think classes have been easier because professors have been more accommodating. I think not seeing people who you considered friends or acquaintances has been difficult.

How has the virus (and the precautions taken to prevent it spreading) impacted your daily life?

I don’t leave the house anymore, I stay at home all day and I wear more masks when I do go out. I also wipe down things from outside the house religiously and clean my dogs feet after every walk.

How worried are you about getting the virus?

I am very worried about getting the virus.

Do you know anyone who has gotten COVID-19?

Yes.

Are you staying in? What are you doing to pass the time?

I am playing my viola and preparing for my summer classes by ordering textbooks and looking at syllabi. I also have been walking my dog fairly frequently, but not as frequently as I did before.

Are you going out? Where do you go and what is it like?

I went to the music store to get my viola. Some people stayed far away from me and some weren’t scared of getting close to me. I also went to the Animal Hospital to get my dog groomed. We stayed in the car the entire time.

What is giving you hope and/or strength right now?

Trans lifeline, and Trevor Lifeline, as well as my dog and cat give me strength every day.
