Did you change your spring break plans because of the virus? From what to what?

No, I still traveled because I had paid for and made the plans months in advance. Even though travelling abroad was discouraged, I made it out alright.

How did you feel when you were informed the remainder of the semester would be held online?

At first I was relieved, but I was quickly saddened that my last semester of college wouldn’t be the college experience I wanted.

Where will you be living while courses are held online? Is this a change from usual?

I live in my apartment off campus. Paying rent is starting to get stressful because of job loss.

What has been your experience with moving classes online? What’s good? What’s not so good?

I like online courses. But the motivation to complete my work is at an all time low.

How has the virus (and the precautions taken to prevent it spreading) impacted your daily life?

Not going to work, which I love doing, being secluded from everyone is depressing. Every time I cough I get paranoid.

How worried are you about getting the virus?

I’m not so much worried about the virus itself, as I am the reaction, or lack there of, by our country.

Do you know anyone who has gotten COVID-19?

Yes.

Are you staying in? What are you doing to pass the time?

Yes. I do school work, work remotely, and watch a lot of tv.

Are you going out? Where do you go and what is it like?

No. I only go out when I need groceries. I’m on edge every time I go out. It makes me angry when I see people going out just to go out and not taking precautions.

What is giving you hope and/or strength right now?

Not a whole lot. I’m just hoping this will be over in a few months, but that’s unlikely.

Is there anything else you’d like to tell us about what you’re feeling or experiencing right now?

This whole thing is depressing and stressful.
